If long distance calls within Canada and to the United States are included in your package, your long distance calls to these destinations will be treated as local calls. Simply dial the home or business number you would like to reach in Canada or the United States, and your call will be routed immediately. It’s that simple.
To place a call to elsewhere in Canada or to the United States dial:

Long distance not included in your package
If long distance calls within Canada and to the United States are not included in your package, simply dial the 10-digit home or business number preceded by “1”. Your call will be forwarded immediately.
To place a call to elsewhere in Canada or to the United States dial: 1 + Area Code + Telephone Number
Long distance if you do not have any of those packages
You can get a calling card account and make long distance using your existing phone line with your preferred phone line supplier or using your Smart phone.
